Crowdsourcing service
Something lull here. I want to plant a new idea for someone else's startup: a translation service for texts produced by a crowd (i.e. using crowdsourcing).
Of course, there are statistical translators like Google Translate, which do just about it, and even automatically. But their problem is that people do not participate.
A computer tries to reduce a task to a single solution, while people can understand what is written there and recommend one or another turn, translate idiom in the most appropriate way, subtract the resulting text and, finally, just distinguish the verb and the noun (which is often the main joke of machine translations, a sample of computer humor). There may be several options, of which the user who submitted an application for translation will select the one you like the most. Heck, people can even translate a poem!
Monetization of the service is quite simple - participants applying for an urgent translation must also deposit a certain prize fund, which is divided (minus some commission in favor of the service) between voluntary translators in shares corresponding to their character-by-character contribution to the final accepted version. The commission creates a profit for the service, rewards motivate the participants (“here it is, a real opportunity to earn on the Web with your head, without investing a penny :)”). And the wolves are fed and the sheep are whole. Again, participants have the right and not to put up a prize fund, but it is clear that they will be engaged in such transfers last. By the way, immediately after submitting the application, you can do the first, skeleton version of the translation using automatic services - it will probably be difficult for a person to start from scratch, but correcting a “clumsy” translation is a nice thing!
