Google may launch a tablet with ASUS

According to unconfirmed information so far, Google has teamed up with ASUS as part of a project to create an inexpensive tablet. According to the same unconfirmed data, it is planned to create a tablet, the cost of which will be about half the cost of a similar device from Apple (although it is not specified which version of the iPad is meant). The tablet will be small, its diagonal will be about 7 inches.

And yes, the official announcement of this device will take place as early as May; one must think that the cooperation began much earlier than rumors about the partnership of ASUS and Google leaked to the Network. The possible cost of the future device is in the range from 200 to 250 US dollars. Such a low price, subject to the good quality of the device, should attract the attention of potential buyers. In any case, the developers are counting on it very much.

According to DigiTimes, this tablet will be the first device that will be sold through the newly created Google Play Store. Cooperation with ASUS is no coincidence that this company is known for its low-end devices. It is worth recalling that it was ASUS that was the first company that created a cheap netbook a few years ago. Maybe the new tablet will be as popular as the EeePC was (and is) popular.

Earlier, news came out on the Web that “Corporation of Good” is looking for a partner for some project to create another interesting device. We were looking for partners among such well-known manufacturers as HTC, ACER and ASUS, but Google chose the latter company.
