IT Louvre

The world-famous Grand Palace, located in Paris and familiar to everyone, from young to old, as the most visited museum in the world, the Louvre, will henceforth become more intellectual.

IBM has entered into an agreement with the government of Paris to introduce IBM Maximo Asset Management into all museum systems - from security, air conditioning, to restoration and repair systems and methods, because the number of exhibits in need of care in the Louvre reaches 65,000.

Thanks to the implementation of the intellectual asset management system, the Louvre will very soon turn into the most genuine intellectual building that will “tell” its personnel about their problems in real time. Using IBM software, it will be easier to control the history of the movement and maintenance of all museum assets, monitor and plan maintenance work, and keep track of them electronically, rather than on paper, as is being done now. The tasks that need to be performed will be automatically sent to the contractors and their implementation will also be monitored.

Thus, the work of the museum will be adjusted, starting from the sale of tickets, all the functions of repair and ending with the management of the flow of visitors in all situations, from normal to emergency. Today, when this or that section of the museum is in need of repair, visitors often cannot go not only to this particular section, but also to the adjacent ones. Soon this problem will disappear and most galleries will always be open.

All the implemented systems will exchange information among themselves, coordinating the work of the museum as a single system. You look, at such rate will be lost also known turns for tickets.
