Ubuntu for Android - the first look at the symbiosis of operating systems

We continue to upload videos from the MWC exhibition. Today it was the turn to look at the Ubuntu for Android project, which turns the smartphone into almost a real computer. True, you will need a docking station:



Unfortunately, the software can not be installed as a separate Android application , you need to install on the device a specially adapted firmware for it. Nevertheless, the plus of such a solution is obvious: when connected to the docking station, we get not a primitive Motorola Atrix interface, but a real desktop OS. Plus - you can run mobile apps on the big screen.

At the moment, the project is under development, and the creators are negotiating with manufacturers of gadgets in order to pre-install Ubuntu for Android on devices. But it’s too early to talk about any specific agreements.
