This is a small motivating note about how we launched the audio chat .
The idea appeared 5 days ago and today I can already present it to your attention.
The emergence of ideas
Naturally, there is nothing original in the idea of ​​an audio chat, but I have never met anonymous voice chats [especially Russian speakers] - everywhere video or text. Enlighten, if such exist.
The idea arose while talking to a friend on Skype, which in a conversation about the audio chat casually said: “You can set a time limit” and it seemed to me an interesting thing.
Embodiment of life
I found a freelance executor in one day.
Instead of a thousand words ... showed him the following draft outline:

Next, for a couple of hours, I drew and cut the final layout:
Immediately gave Proger access to a clean virtual server so that he would not do the work twice.
He said that the chat will work on the Red5 media server . The axis chosen CentOS.
Yes, it happens quite rarely, but the performer did not disappear and answered promptly, therefore we met the agreed time. Layout, thorough testing and audio chat is ready to launch!
True, the maximum load that was at the moment is 100 people on the line.
Therefore it is extremely curious, whether service from a habraeffekt will lay down :)
For audio transfer , OpenRTMFP is used, analogous to the Cirrus Adobe service.
Plans
- adding parameters [gender, age]
- version with unlimited time [or the possibility of extending the conversation by mutual agreement]
- applications for mobile platforms
- group chats on a specific topic
