Today, March 1, 2012, the team and friends of LinguaLeo celebrate the birthday of the service in the advanced Digital October techno center: 2 years ago, on March 1, 2010, LinguaLeo was born in the jungle of Thailand. And the millionth user registered on the service today! On the results of the past year, future plans and how you can celebrate this significant event with us - we read under the cut.

The second year of life LinguaLeo was full of events!

Over the year more than 700 thousand users registered on the site, half of them came on the recommendations of other users. 300 thousand have become active. During the year, daily attendance increased 10 times to more than 100 thousand visits.

# Service has become popular not only in Russia, but also in Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. There are several thousand users in the USA, Moldova, Israel, Germany and the UK. We suspect that these are our compatriots who are improving their English already there, since the interface is only in Russian.



# 82 percent of all visits are provided by returning users.



# We received more than 25 thousand letters with ideas and suggestions on the feedback mail . This is about 150 letters per day. They all help the team understand where to go next.

The LinguaLeo iPhone application, which was released in early February, was on top of the Apple App Store for a week (unfortunately, the top is not forever, but we still take the height). Active work is currently underway to improve the application and applications for iPad, Android and even Windows Phone 7 are being developed.

# In the end of 2010 - the beginning of 2011, LinguaLeo received angel investments, and soon we will be able to please everyone with the fact that the project will receive even greater support from venture capitalists!

This became a very important event for our team, strengthened the spirit and allowed us to move forward with new forces!

# In total for the year 32 planned mini-releases and about 47 hot fixes were posted.
# The project server was unavailable 19 times a year during the calculations of releases, care in a swap due to bugs and overloads, the average uptime was 97%. This year we switched to a new server architecture, changed the data center, and we hope to provide a figure of 99%.



# We are convinced that the concept of LinguaLeo, expressed in the 7 secrets of learning foreign languages , works as efficiently and reliably as a year ago! Tens of thousands of users have made significant progress in mastering the English language, and we have received many success stories from them.

# Over the year of the service, users made 50 million translations of words, spent more than 380 years together on the service. And the most active 1000 users spent an average of more than 226 hours each, doing 3 hours a day (the average for the site is 26 minutes a day for a registered user).
