Testing free Wi-Fi in the Moscow metro
In two trains of the Moscow metro began to work free Wi-Fi . Network testing is conducted by VimpelCom on the order of the metro. The transmitters are equipped with cars of two trains (No. 51 and No. 35) on the Sokolnicheskaya line.

The further fate of the project will be decided by the management of the metro. It remains to hope that the network will leave to work for free, and the equipment will be put on all trains.

“Each car has a handicraft assembly from a ZyXEL Keenetic Giga router, a Huawei 3G modem and a PN-EXPRESS voltage converter, which is designed to connect communication devices that require 12 (13.6) volts for their work to voltage sources 45 -90 volts. The entire structure is assembled “on the knee” from the telecom operator, during installation it is quickly “driven in” into the technological aperture and electricity is connected. They put the whole structure in the technological hole behind the false-panel, which is located directly above the gates, ” writes Maxim Bukin.
