Illustration to the issue of copyright enforcement practice

In yesterday’s press release of the Nizhny Novgorod Civil Council, the intentions of the Nizhny Novgorod law enforcement agencies to publicize the two Linux system units on charges that this is an unlicensed Windows were made public.

There is a high probability that the authorities in this case were guided by political considerations, so I have to remind readers about the sixth rule of Habrahabr , which prohibits the discussion of politics.

But those individuals who account for copyright enforcement cases as a means to store this or that business have got a chance to replenish their registry once again.

The news causes a surge of curiosity: and what will happen next? Computers just hold and let go when they are convinced that the owner understood them all? Or should it be pessimistic to assume that since organs are capable of arresting computers with Linux under the sauce of “unlicensed Windows”, then it is a sin for them to miss a convenient opportunity without having to add system units with extremist materials, child pornography and plans for terrorist attacks on high-rise houses? Or vice versa - in front of us is the case of frantic slander of computer thieves and pirates, defaming the bright image of uncompromising fighters for the triumph of world copyright in a single country?

Time will tell.
