Nokia 808 PureView - new 41 megapixel camera phone
At the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Nokia introduced the Nokia 808 PureView cameraphone. From any other camera phone Nokia 808 PureView differs by the presence of a camera with a resolution of the sensor equal to 41 megapixels.
In this case, the pictures will be taken in standard resolution from 2 to 8 megapixels, and in the process of shooting, the high-frequency resampling technology will be used to combine up to seven pixels into one. Nokia 808 PureView can shoot video in 1080p format at 30 frames per second, while providing a threefold zoom without loss of image quality. When shooting at 720p and 640x360 resolution, a six- and twelvefold zoom is possible without loss of image quality, respectively.
The phone itself combines a 1.3 GHz processor, 16 GB of internal memory and a 4-inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass. The dimensions of the device are 123.9 × 60.2 × 13.9 mm with an expansion of up to 17.95 mm in the area of the camera, the weight with regard to the battery is 169 grams. The smartphone runs on the Nokia Belle OS with the Feature Pack 1 update. Operating time in the Internet connection mode via 3G connection reaches 6.5 hours, in standby mode - 540 hours.
