The charity organization Plan UK has placed a futuristic billboard in London with an HD video camera and a person’s gender recognition system. The system works with 90% accuracy and if it signals that a woman is passing by - she is shown the full version of the 40-second advertising video "Because I'm a Girl" with a call to help girls in developing countries get an education.
The organizers of the advertising campaign say that there is an additional sense in “ignoring” men - a billboard makes them feel the effect of gender inequality on themselves.
