Google will test robo-mobil on the roads of Nevada

Now several companies are creating robots cars, although the most famous are probably systems from the “corporation of good”. Earlier this month, the legislature of the state of Nevada, USA, gave permission to Google to test robo-mobiles on the roads of that state. The roads are good and there are not many cars on some of them, so the risk of an accident is minimal. Test vehicles will be marked with a special red mark.

In general, after issuing a permit by the state, any other company can test on the roads of Nevada and its devices. Google Corporation was just the first to file an application. Developers will try out autonomous control systems on different car models. The team believes that autopilot cars are more reliable than cars with a human driver. The threat of an accident in the case of a robot is minimal, much lower than in the case of a driver, even if it is very good. In any case, representatives of Google think so.

The authorities in Nevada seem pleased with the fact that Google will test their cars here. One of the officials called the autonomous vehicle control system “cruise control on steroids”, which, in general, corresponds to reality. As far as can be judged, the systems are really reliable - after all, cars with autonomous control from Google have already been tested. Now only one emergency situation with the participation of these cars is known, and that, all this happened through no fault of the mobile. If everything that is said about Google’s robotized auto control systems is true, then the threat of a collision or an emergency is really minimal.

It may well be that in the future automakers will install such systems on their cars. And then it will be possible to choose whether to drive the car yourself or to entrust the control to the robot. Robomobili are tested in California - in this state there are simply no traffic rules that would prohibit driving a car, not a person, but a computer system. Now several US states are considering the possibility of introducing an autonomous system management permit.
