Now several large Internet services have decided to update their own interface. So, Twitter has recently been updated, and now the intention to change is announced by the Flickr service. The service is one of the most popular photo hosting sites at the moment, and its management is going to attract even more users, while at the same time keeping the old base of “clients.
The other day, the head of the service said that all current changes are associated with only one thing - improving user experience. In other words, management wants to do well with users, so to speak. And it may well be that this intention will be implemented qualitatively, moreover, in a short time. So, first a new function will be introduced, it can be described as a photo stream. Approximately the same thing as tweet messages coming in all the time, but this will not be text, but photos.
In addition, a new file uploader called Uploadr will be introduced. It will happen at the end of March. The downloader allows you to easily upload files by dragging photos from your local disk to the site. Developers believe that Uploadr is more an application than a service. Photos can be viewed as thumbnails. In addition, for each of the photos, you can add tags.

There is also the possibility of adding geo-tags, at the moment the collection of images on Flickr with geo-tags is about 270 million. Developers are planning to slowly introduce a new service priority, focusing not so much on desktops and laptops, but on mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. The Flickr app for Android was introduced in September 2011.
