
From April 15, 2012 Yota will switch its WiMAX network to LTE standard.
The network will be launched in the range of 2500-2530 megahertz (which WiMAX is currently working on) and 2620-2650 megahertz. At the same time, the current WiMAX network will be disabled, and with it all subscribers.
Data:
- Coverage area "not less than WiMAX zone";
- Speed from 5 to 20 megabits (with a possible 100+ megabits!);
- The easiest tariff is 400 rubles unlimited;
- LTE modems for 2900 rubles, a router for 4900 rubles;
- Yota subscribers with a positive balance for December 21, 2011 can exchange WiMAX modem for LTE for free;
- Also, subscribers who pay for Yota services for 500 or more rubles before April 15 will be able to receive an LTE modem for free;
- Now each subscriber will have to show a passport.
