Change phone settings for time and location (no gps, operator towers)
Stumbling on an article: NFC-tags from metro maps decided to issue this topic.
I remember that a year and a half ago, someone suggested creating a program that, depending on the location, on the towers (in order to save battery), would independently turn on / off wifi. In that old topic, all this was at the level of an idea that had no implementation. And, quite recently, such an idea came to me again, which is why I began to look for a concrete implementation.
As a result, several well-developed programs were found at once:

All the mentioned programs are in accordance with the schedule, or based on the location of the phone (to save battery, it is possible to determine operators by towers), they can turn on / off wifi, bluetooth, mobile Internet, adjust the sound volume, start / close programs, change other phone settings.
It would seem that a fairly limited set of functions, but the abundance of advantages that appear after a little tweaking and personalization is very impressive.

Actually for myself, I chose llama, this program has a nice interface, who needs a Russian translation, and most importantly, ready-made presets for home and work. This application has been working on my phone for 3 weeks already, and definitely has become a must have:
Now, coming home, you can not get into the settings to connect to your home wifi.
You do not need to be afraid to find an insufficiently charged battery in the morning, due to the wifi left on (wifi is turned on only if I am at home between 7 am and 12 pm).
at night, worries that the bloody spam will wake up with incoming mail or SMS messages (volume control).
away from home, in transport, you do not need to remember that you forgot to turn up the volume of the phone (adjusting the volume of the sound).
being at work, worries about too loud call (volume control).
lots of other subtle improvements.
At the moment, there is an idea to implement the rsync + ssh + wifi bundle to synchronize heavy media, like photos and videos with a home computer (i.e. use the possibility of delayed launch of third-party programs).
Compared to the NFC-cards described in the next topic, this application works without any hardware tweaks, and it does the same thing now. There was only a solution, how to determine that the phone is in the car (to turn on the navigator), everything else, everything is the same as in the video from the topic about NFC-cards .
In general, I found these programs quite convenient, worthy of mention in the form of a separate topic. In addition, during the search, for some reason, travel links were not provided when requested in Russian, llama was found only with the English version of the query.
