ASUS Silent Knight II. Powerful cooler for high-performance processors
ASUS has announced the release of a new cooler Silent Knight II. This powerful device, made of copper and equipped with six heat-conducting tubes, to which heat dissipation plates are attached, is designed specifically for cooling high-performance Intel Core 2 Extreme processors, Core 2 Quad, Intel Pentium 4 (LGA775 connector) and AMD Athlon 64 FX (connector 939/940 / AM2). The design used a 92 mm fan with automatic regulation of the rotation speed (PWM), which is characterized by a low noise level (less than 25 dB at maximum speed). In addition, the Silent Knight II is designed to provide effective cooling of not only the CPU, but also some components of the motherboard, in particular, the VRM module (Voltage Regulation Module). According to the developer, the cooler is able to reduce the temperature of various components from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.
Dimensions Silent Knight II with a weight of only 610 grams (some similar solutions will be heavier) are 115 × 140 × 110 mm. Unfortunately, information about the cost of the device could not be found, as well as the exact date of entry into the market.
