Philips has released a TV with the ability to simultaneously display two different "pictures"

Previously, the technology of simultaneous viewing of different programs by two viewers was proposed by Sony Corporation. This company, as far as can be judged, was the first to realize this opportunity in its devices. But it is clear that a good idea is quickly adopted by competitors. So, Philips has already released TVs with a similar function. Dual-view televisions are now starting to release other companies. True, few succeed in the normal implementation of this function.

It is worth noting that Philips has a fairly significant advantage over Sony. So, this company produces larger TVs than Sony. If Sony has a diagonal size of the display of such "double" TVs does not exceed 24 inches, then the range of Philips TVs already offers models with a diagonal from 32 to 55 inches. A refresh rate of 800 Hz is also an advantage to Philips products.

True, for a normal viewing of the “double” picture, two different viewers will have to wear special glasses. But what to do - so far there are practically no models of such TVs, where both viewers can see a clear picture (each their own) without glasses. Developments in this direction are underway, yes, and even there are prototypes, but so far there are no commercial products.

Unfortunately, representatives of Philips have not voiced whether their TVs can be useful for gamers - so that everyone can see their own picture on the whole screen, without dividing it into two parts. As for SimulView from Sony, these TVs support this mode, but work only with compatible games, which, of course. not much yet. The cost of Philips products has not yet been announced, but soon all the necessary details will become known.
