A bit of history. Many of you have probably heard about
MODx CMS , but not everyone knows where their legs grow from.
It all started in April 2004, when
PHASE CMS , which was not known to anybody, was released to the public, and soon they had to change their name to
ETOMITE CMS . The project itself was quite successful and gathered a lot of enthusiasts around him. At that time, there were quite a few willing to dig deeper into the core of the system and make remakes, as a result of which the first
MODx was born.
')
Soon, the development team was asked to introduce some commerce into this project, to which the public reacted quite negatively and began to fuss. As a result, the forum turned into a battlefield, which significantly hampered the development of the project and most of the time the developers went into skirmishes (at that time there were about 2500 users).
Unable to withstand such tension, exactly a year after the discovery, the author of the project
Alex Butter announced the termination of the development of this project and left the team leaving the entire farm in the hands of the old-timer.
But just recently Alex showed up and not empty-handed, rethinking the accumulated experience, he presented his new brainchild
Immerse CMS .
