The system I have been working on for more than one year, and I recently
told you about the history of its creation on Habré, reached the finals of the Lenovo competition. The Lenovo competition (and at the same time Google, which announced its
Google Goggles , very similar to AR-Go - up to the form factor of the points) gave us a good impetus, forcing us to drastically intensify work on the project. The development team has increased from two to six people (not counting a dozen people who are ready according to them to participate in the project - but so far have not shown activity). A new version of the system kernel is being written. I went to work on applications using augmented reality. But yesterday ... In general, the feeling is what happens when you run into a brick wall in full run.
A couple of weeks ago, Lenovo representatives in the correspondence said that in the second round the winner will be determined not by the number of votes, but by the totality of parameters, one of which will be promotion in the work on the project. Inspired, we began work on the killer-app, a game with elements of augmented reality. A gaming application, among other things, is a great way to work out the elements of user interaction with a wearable computer, and in working on such a device, one of the main tasks is the invention of the interface.
And yesterday at the meeting of the finalists in the office of Lenovo, it was announced that the winner will be determined solely by voting. Neither the opinion of the mentors, nor the work on the project is no longer taken into account - only the votes. In general, at a time when others were engaged in the collection of votes (and some, as the Lenovites said yesterday, and wrapping), we, having “scored” to vote, worked on the project.
Among those who joined our team there are several people who are ready to switch to work on AR-Go in full-time mode (I personally quit in the fall from work in order to completely switch to the development of AR-Go). If we win the competition, it will be possible to bring the devices to release - our version of the “chord” keyboard (in quotes - because it’s not the chord, but better!), Make a prototype of the head-mounted system with an integrated camera, inertial unit and other necessary electronics. Therefore, if you are interested in my project, please vote for it (you can vote here:
donetwork.lenovo.com/ru/projects/view/id/2503 ). And it's better not just once, but every day until February 22nd - for some unknown reason, Lenovo set up a strange system, under which you can vote not once, but once a day.

I understand that all this sounds like “I'm sorry that we are talking to you,” but for me this project is a matter of five years of my life. And I don’t know if I still have the opportunity to do something worthwhile in my life.
