UWDC-2012: Ural conference of web developers or where to spend the weekend

Finally, with a clear conscience, we can inform you that the next, third, conference of the Ural web developers will be held on February 25 and 26 in Chelyabinsk , and there will be a lot of interesting things there!

Very briefly about the event

UWDC (Ural Web Developer Conference) is an annual event held in Chelyabinsk, which gathers web developers, designers and other SEO users from all over the Urals, Russia and even a little from abroad. This year we are waiting for about 50 speakers and up to 500 participants in general. The UWDC conference is an informal friendly atmosphere, interesting content and positive emotions.

About the most interesting

Below I will talk about the most interesting, in my subjective opinion, reports and sections. Perhaps you will be interested in something else - see the preliminary program on the conference website .

In the section "Web development and mobile technologies" Alexander Makarov , a leading developer of Yii, will tell about the development history and features of the application of this framework; and Vadim Makeev , an evangelist for Opera, will talk about layout with meaning. And from the well-known security specialist Andrei Beshkov you will learn everything you wanted to know about botnets and secure web applications, but for some reason you were afraid to ask.

As usual, the section for internet marketers and SEOs is widely represented. First of all, I would like to say about the large and very useful master class "Thoughtful SEO" from the general director of WebProjects company Ivan Sevostyanov , where he will not only talk about all the stages of work on website promotion, but will also analyze and comment on the projects of the audience. Timur Tazetdinov will talk about real games in alternate reality - what it is, and in general, whether it exists. Also this year there will be a number of SMM reports with real cases and success-stories. And, of course, you cannot ignore Nastya Vavilova , who will also speak in this section and talk about ... However, this is not so important, what will she talk about, right? :-)

The design section is , as always, the most mysterious and interesting. Its curator Andrei Shapiro , who gathers talented speakers from UWDC every year and from outside, is to blame for this. This year, Dmitry Novikov from MacPaw (Kiev) will hold a master class on creating flawless interfaces. One of the best technical illustrators of the country, Maxim Degtyarev , will use examples to tell how he creates his works from beginning to end. His colleague, Lena Dronova , will share what Alan Cooper himself revealed to her. Both participants are an incredible exclusive: Lena and Maxim are teachers of intensive interactive design and new media at the British Higher School of Design . For dessert, the “Tips-Live” format is from the “mighty handful” of art directors - Ilya Birman (art director of Design Bureau Artyom Gorbunov), Valentina Loshchinin (head of Innovations design department) and Andrei Shapiro (organizer of on the interface and information design "Mekra"). In real-time mode, the leaders of the master class will solve the most unsolvable problems that the students will offer them.

Goodies

This year there will be two events at once at UWDC that were not there before.

First of all, this is StartupDay-Chelyabinsk , which we have already announced and which will feature prominent figures from the web industry: Leonid Volkov , Alexey Kosarev , Dmitry Kalaev and Evgeny Sharovarin . By the way, startups still have literally a couple of days to declare their project for this event.

Secondly, this is the first Y.Subbotnik this year, where employees of the St. Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Simferopol offices of Yandex will talk about technologies, solutions and good practices: how to use BEM! outside of Yandex, about layout and layout designers, Yandex.Mail architecture, scalable js applications and much more.

This, of course, is only a small part of those interesting things that are waiting for you at the conference, so be sure to come.
