"Budyst": a social network of mutual assistance in the awakenings

The day before yesterday (February 13, 2012), a blog about You HTC appeared in the blog “You HTC” about an entertaining social network “ Budyst ”, whose members use each other as an alarm clock.

By installing the “Buddhist” application on Android or iOS, a social network member (“sleepy”) can set an alarm for any time (in 5 minutes increments, as you can see) and wait for a phone call to wake him up. He can also see a list of other “dormice” awaiting a revival in the near future — and call them at the time indicated by them to wake them up.

By registering, the participant reports his name, gender, age, city. The social network "Budist" uses this information, connecting different-sex interlocutors (for young people to be awakened by girls, and vice versa). But if at the specified time no one calls the “Son”, then the bot will wake it up.

It's nice that all this is arranged free of charge (and the program, and calls), and phone numbers are not disclosed to the interlocutors.

The program also includes the “Communication” tab - but unfortunately, a VKontakte account is required. (Could provide and more methods of authorization.)

Finally, I will say that the idea of “Budista” seems to me rather nontrivial to interest network people. But, having imagined a wave of awakenings rolling from east to west every day, it is easy to see its extreme points: most likely, the “sleepers” of the most eastern regions of Russia will be lacking incentives, and the “budists” of the western part of Russia will wake up.
