Android Hackathon in St. Petersburg

Less than a week left before the android-hakaton in St. Petersburg. This weekend, an incredible number of developers get together and code for two days with short breaks for sleeping, eating and talking with each other. These crazy weekend presentations of prototypes and rewarding will end. Winners will receive prizes from Acer, the general partner of DevCamp in St. Petersburg, as well as from Beeline, Sony Ericsson and O'Reilly.

Not only developers, but also designers, interface designers, testers, and indeed all interested parties are invited to participate.

18th of Febuary

• 10: 00-10: 30 - registration of participants, coffee break
• 10: 30-11: 00 - performance of partners and organizers
• 11: 00-12: 00 - brainstorming, discussion of ideas, formation of teams
• 12: 00-14: 00 - work on projects
• 14: 00-15: 00 - lunch
• 15: 00-18: 00 - work on projects

February 19

• 10: 00-10: 30 - coffee break
• 10: 30-13: 30 - work on projects
• 13: 30-14: 30 - lunch

• 16: 30-17: 30 - demofest (presentation of project prototypes)
• 17: 30-18: 00 - award winners

Competition

All projects created during the hackathon participate in the competition. The winners will be determined by a jury consisting of representatives from Acer, Beeline, GTUG organizers and invited experts.

Prizes

• 1st place - Acer Iconia TAB A501 tablet;
• 2nd place - Acer Iconia Smart;
• 3rd place - Acer Liquid Express smartphone.

The authors of the brightest and most original idea will receive a prize from our partner Beeline - the Beeline M2 tablet, and the team with the most interesting application for SmartWatch will be awarded with watches from Sony Ericsson. In addition, each team that can demonstrate a prototype is awaited by an e-book from O'Reilly.
