Kiddy.me - your baby's diary
I have long wanted to write here about my small project - kiddy.me .
A little background. A little more than a year ago, my daughter was born and there was a “need” somewhere to write down how a baby develops, to upload photos. As you know such things are quickly forgotten. Somewhere in Word, my wife and I didn’t like it, but in Google I didn’t find a normal service where I could do it all.

It was important for me that the note be marked by the age of the child, in the form of 1 year, 1 month, 3 weeks and 6 days. Also an important factor was the functionality of loading photos.
I made a prototype quickly, in just a few days. Then I did not think about sociality, as the diary was made only for my wife and me. But soon a thought appeared, why not make Kiddy for our friends (also young parents). And it started ... :) For a couple of months, the power of a small team was written by the first version, a sort of symbiosis of child twitter and facebook.
And then it happened surprisingly, personally for me - in three months 200 users came, half of which began to actively write notes, post pictures, comment ... in general, “live an active life”. And all this thanks to only word of mouth. To be honest, up to this point I never believed in the effect of word of mouth :)
Now an average of 2-3 users a day. Of course, these are modest indicators, but, without advertising and without PR (PR started just now).

What can you do in Kiddy? The main goal is to write down important moments from the life of your child (or several children) / Both mom and dad can write. If you are not interested in the social component, then you can simply close the profile of the baby (this mode had to be entered by numerous requests). For the rest, you can “friend”, read, comment, etc. other children. It is especially interesting to have children of similar age with your child.
Here in general, that's all. Now we are just at the start, I am absolutely sure that in a year here at Habré I will again write about my child, but already about how a more adult “kid”. Indeed, in the first years of life, babies grow and develop very quickly :)
