Friends, we need your help. You are experts - and today you have a unique opportunity to influence how different terms for Windows 8 will be translated into Russian.

Do you have any idea how best these terms should be translated? Join the community and help improve the glossary of technical terms for Windows 8 in Russian. We need feedback on current translation options or alternative sentences on terms for the developer portal and work with the Windows store in Russian .

Your input will be invaluable, especially for many complex terms, including “flyout”, “raw input thread”, “touch injection”, “multi-touch emulation”, “manipulation chaining” and many others.

How to join the forum

A few simple steps to join the translation:

• Click the link , sign in with your Windows Live ID and go through a simple registration (access code is not needed).
• Click on the “Glossary” link, you will see a list of basic terms in English and our approximate translations and explanations.
• For each term, you can vote for the translation options or suggest your own.

The forum will be open for reviews from February 9 to February 22, 2012. Do not forget to periodically review new translation proposals before the forum closes. You can also click “About this forum” (About this forum) to see the activity of other project participants.
