The work of the image stabilization system on the example of the camera OM-D E-M5 from Olympus

The company Olympus at one of the technology exhibitions demonstrated the principle of the image stabilization system. Such a system is built into the camera Olympus OM-D E-M5. To be honest, I thought a couple of times about how such a system works, but I did not come to a definite conclusion, and the information was just lazy. Well, everything is perfectly shown on the video. This system allows you to not work with a tripod, because the images are almost as clear as when using a tripod.

As a matter of fact, image stabilization is not a panacea, it will not be able to hide all the flaws in the motility of the camera owner. But the effect of trembling hands can be avoided - all the photographs obtained are quite clear. In order to level the trembling of hands, the system moves along five axes, which is quite enough to achieve the desired effect of obtaining a high-quality, not “blurred” image.
