Lightpack is an open-source monitor backlight device. Depending on the chosen settings, you can either enhance the presence effect for movies and games, or keep your eyes if you often have to work at the computer in the dark. Anyway, Lightpack in less than an hour and a half is mounted on the back wall of your monitor, TV or laptop and highlights the surface behind it with actual colors. The software analyzes the image on your monitor and via USB transfers data about it to the board, which, in turn, with the help of RGB-LEDs illuminates the wall with the appropriate light. Most of all, the effect resembles the illumination of Philips Ambilight TVs. The whole principle of operation is described in detail in the project wiki .
