It all started with the fact that the signal from the available antenna WFL 2700-24, 24dB fell sharply. What was to blame, I still have not figured out. Maybe the pigtail loosened in the modem, or because of the snowfall, the transmitting antennas at the base station collapsed, I do not know. By consistently changing the components of the system, I was not able to restore the signal at the same level. Under suspicion remained an antenna which had nothing to replace. Unfortunately, from the antennas with high gain in the stores there were only models similar in constructive, since I didn’t know exactly what caused the drop in the signal, to become the owner of 2 similar antennas that practically did not work in my house, I was not tempted. Taking the usual satellite antenna Supral 900x1000, a piece of plastic water pipe with a diameter of 40 mm and the existing Samsung U-200 modem, I started.
First, in a piece of pipe we make a hole under the modem. You can use a drill and a file. I used a Dremel c cutter. The length of the pipe must be chosen with a margin, since it is not known exactly where the focus of our construction will be

It should look like this:
')

Next, fill the pipe with construction foam to fix the modem. I felt sorry for him, so the part that will contact with the foam, I first wrapped with adhesive tape. Excess foam gently cut off. It is desirable to close the ends with plastic covers. I did not find any native 40 mm plugs in the store. But the hair dye covers were almost perfect.
Then we fix it in the holder, but not very strongly, so that it goes on friction, this will be required later in the search for focus:

After the final assembly of the antenna, we direct it to the base station. It should be borne in mind that the design is very highly directional, so it’s easy to miss. I lost the signal when the antenna deviated from the optimal position by 3-5 degrees. After finding the position in which the signal has a maximum, the antenna is fixed. Next, you need to catch the focus by moving the tube in the mount and rotating it around the axis until you get the maximum. After completion, all tighten and seal. I made a temporary version of the package and scotch, it is painfully cold until something is invented, leave it until spring:

The signal from the antenna via USB goes to the DIR-320 which has been living for the third year on a pole in an IKEA container painted from white with white paint. And then on wi-fi to the house.
Here's what happened:

And what is the result? Got a nearly 2-fold increase in signal level compared to WFL 2700-24. With saved over 3000 p. WFL 2700-24 - 4200 p vs Supral - 800 rubles + pipe 20 rubles.
At the moment, the speed is:

Previously, more than 3 MB / s did not rise. Upload previously no more than 200 Kb / s, now 300-900 Kb / s.
If I don’t use an antenna at all, there’s no signal in my area. Absolutely not. To the base station at least 6 km.
What else needs to be done:
1. Normally seal the modem.
2. Cut off the excess pipe. But for this it should be removed, but in the cold it would not be desirable to do this.
3. Make a reflector for the modem:

For the basis I took the bottom from a vase with fruit bought for this for 80 rubles. In general, any metal spherical or parabolic garbage will work, which you can find not too large curvature, otherwise it will be difficult to place the modem in focus. When it was temporarily fixed, I received a few more db plus, but most importantly, the power of my signal increased and, as a result, the upload speed increased by about 30-40%.
