Udacity creates curriculum and will issue diplomas

Recently, the online university Udacity announced the first two courses , which begin on February 20. Courses are led by Stanford professors David Evans and Sebastian Thrun.

CS 101: Building a search engine (+ Python training)
CS 373: We program a robotic car (knowledge of Python is required)

These are seven-week courses that are designed for beginners. However, the plans for an online university are much more ambitious. As they said in the mailing list, Udacity is going to develop a complete computer science curriculum and offer certification services. That is, they will issue real diplomas.
