Ukraine continues attacks on government sites

Users, outraged by the termination of the work of the file hosting service EX.ua , spread in social networks calls to attack the websites of the authorities in protest. On Thursday, the websites of a number of central authorities do not work or work intermittently. Some journalists even call it a civil war.

On Wednesday, the site of the President of Ukraine for some time was not working ( president.gov.ua ). Now it is loading, but rather slowly. A spokeswoman for the president spoke on her blog to find another platform to protest, without restricting citizens' right to access information.

A little later on the page EX.ua on Facebook also appeared a call to stop all illegal actions against the websites of public authorities.

However, the protesters did not heed the appeals, and since Wednesday evening the site of the Security Service of Ukraine ( sbu.gov.ua ) is no longer loaded. Just think, the whole security service cannot even protect its own website. At the same time, the pro-government Party of Regions website ( partyofregions.org.ua ) works intermittently. And even for some reason got the Communist Party ( kpu.ua ).

On Thursday, the National Bank of Ukraine website ( bank.gov.ua ) did not work for more than an hour, but its work has already been resumed. The site of the Anti-Monopoly Committee ( amc.gov.ua ) is still not working, and the websites of the State Tax Service ( sta.gov.ua ) and the Cabinet of Ministers ( kmu.gov.ua ) hardly open.

Apparently, all this was not the last reason that on Thursday the police sent a document to the EX.ua domain registrar with a withdrawal of the idea of ​​blocking the EX.ua domain. The case is not closed, but the investigator has decided that there are no sufficient grounds for the site to stop working.

According to the representative of EX.ua, work on the restoration of the resource is already underway, but he has not yet given more detailed comments.

In addition, tonight, one of the participants in the attacks contacted the author of the online publication Ukrainskaya Pravda. According to him, "about 500 professionally trained specialists are involved in the attack," and also "about 100-300 thousand ordinary users have already joined them." Moreover, according to him, negotiations are already underway with the hacker group Anonymous.
