Synchronous performance of mini-quadcopters

Now developers from around the world are trying their best to create software for all sorts of robots. Including, for quadcopters with "intelligence". Recently, a new development from the company KMel Robotics and the University of Pennsylvania was presented, which demonstrates some success in the development of software for the interaction of robots.

In the demonstration performance 20 mini-quadcopters took part, each of which is equipped with a balancing system, and is also able to interact with “colleagues”. Plus, each device can work autonomously - for example, to go around the obstacles encountered. In this case, the remaining quadcopters will not repeat the movement of their twin.

In general, it is interesting enough to look at the flight of a single quadcopter, not to mention the joint flight. Together, these 20 aircraft can perform fairly complex stunts, which shows a really high level of work of the creators of this entire system. So, you see, and there will be "guardian birds" that interact very, very effectively. Record test "performances" - below.

Unfortunately, the basic principles of the software that controls all these devices are not disclosed. But it is hoped that the developers will soon make a detailed report on this topic. It would be interesting to see / listen / read.
