Data on Megaupload will not be erased for at least another 2 weeks .

Authorities backed up some of the data that should be used as evidence, but not all. Deleting all data on Megaupload will affect users who have used the service for legitimate purposes.

Carpathia hosting company reports that they can not return their files to users. “Carpathia does not have and never had access to data on Megaupload servers and does not have a mechanism for returning files located on their servers.”
