OpenCart Forum

image
Anyone who has been developing stores on OpenCart when it was necessary (or necessarily have to) screw the forum. And there is always a choice between using a separate engine or any module for OpenCart. The engines, as a rule, are monstrous and poorly integrated with the store itself, and the modules are simply terrible.

As a solution to these problems - OC forum . This is a forum written in CakePHP with the design ripped off by Vanilla.

For templates used css framework. It is still a very young thing, but with one big advantage: it is completely built on the OpenCart user base. This means - absolutely no problems with integration. Register in the store - become a member of the forum.

The installation is the same as with a regular module. Download the archive, upload files from the upload folder to the root of the site, in the alminka, on the modules page, near Ocforum, click install and this completes the installation. All forum settings are rendered to the admin area almost as in regular modules.
It is very interesting to know the opinion about the idea itself: use third-party tools, but a native base, to create a separate, but very integrated component.
