Webmoney. Ukraine and tax - what awaits us in 2012?

The tax police of Ukraine identified a number of new areas of work for 2012. Among them - the strengthening of control over the market of electronic money and online commerce.

The State Tax Service (STS) will identify cybercriminals by increasing control over e-money markets and payment systems, Internet service providers and Internet commerce. For this, a special unit has already been created. According to the State Tax Service, the turnover of electronic money last year amounted to 2.5 billion UAH, which is twice as much as in 2009, and 10 times more than in 2007. By 2014, the market is projected to grow to 15 billion UAH.

“It’s good that the tax service has connected to this issue, which previously only waved its hands. She has already created trouble for WebMoney, which shies away from registering and acknowledging that it is involved in issuing electronic money (and not assigning rights of demand). With the support of tax, we will achieve control over this activity, ”said a source at the NBU (according to the Kommersant-Ukraine newspaper).
