The jump in attendance of file hosting sites

With a daily audience of 50 million people, by its own estimate, MegaUpload was one of the largest file hosting sites on the Internet. All the largest webhosting experienced an unprecedented increase in traffic after closing MegaUpload. According to Alexa, as well as other monitoring services, attendance at Depositfiles, Uploaded.to, Hotfile.com, Rapidshare.com and others has increased by tens of percent.

So after closing the traffic was just naturally redistributed for similar services, the benefit of which is not lacking. Millions of users simply typed a different URL in the address bar of the browser.
