At the IFA 2007 exhibition in Berlin, Samsung introduced a new SyncMaster 220TN monitor with the ability to make video calls and access the network without having to connect to a PC. The SyncMaster 220TN is equipped with a 500MHz Geode LX800 processor, an integrated 10/100 Mbps Ethernet adapter, a 2MP webcam and 4 USB ports. Given all this, this display can be a good solution for use as a workstation. The whole thing works on Windows XP. A pre-installed software for VoIP allows you to make calls (and video calls too) without connecting to a PC. Microphone and speakers in the device are also available. The monitor has a diagonal size of 22 inches, supports a maximum resolution of 1680 × 1050 pixels. The response time is 5 ms.
It is not yet known when the SyncMaster 220TN and its 225UW “brother” will be on sale, and how much they will cost.
