The eternal Russian question. In my situation, the following contradiction applies: I have the opportunity to work as a low-level IT specialist, coder - or manager, manager. The coder of me is good, without false modesty. However, all career benefits are advised to give up low-level tasks and engage in management and decision-making. This is more interesting, funny and very desirable. BUT! In our field of activity, there are many problems from weak coders, and it is almost impossible to find a quality replacement for ourselves (we have been looking for years, and I continue to develop, a maniac). A strong coder will almost immediately want, like me, to change his line of business to managerial (especially if there is a precedent). That is, with my careerism, I hack off the branch on which the whole firm sits. Smart people will sit at the top, and it’s really not really high-quality shots that will DO. On the other hand, Kodit is already getting away on the sly, the father is beginning to wonder if I want to advance in the service, my wife hints at the need for more money ... What should I do?
