Amateur mod for Heroes 3 - Horn of the Abyss

Fans of the series rejoice - the opportunity to play Heroes of Might and Magic III Horn of the Abyss, a rather high-quality addon to the original The Shadow of Death, appeared.

Horn of the Abyss has been in development for quite a long time - since 2008 for sure. It is written about him on Wikipedia , on Absolute Games . I personally followed a couple of years of quietly rummage of enthusiasts , where the exit was promised back in 2009, and I stopped hoping for anything when, on January 1 of this year, they still posted a public beta .

The add-on was developed not on the latest versions of Windows, so the “seven” may simply not start (as in my case). Virtualka helps or Windows 7 Windows XP Mode. I did not check under wine, but there is a feeling that it will work.

Also, taking this opportunity, I want to draw attention to the HD mod for Heroes 3, which allows you to start the game in high resolution, for example 1920x1080, with corresponding changes in the interface (the map does not stretch, but expands). The mod can also be used to play Horn of the Abyss, however, it is still damp .
