Throughout the month, the music player VKontakte Meridian grew and actively developed. Were achieved good results, which we want to share with you now.

First of all, I would like to mention our listeners, of whom there are already more than 12.5 thousand. More than 1.5 thousand use the player daily. Thank you so much. Hope you really like it. Separately, I would like to thank the community for efficient comments. Your feedback helped add many features to the application and fix various bugs.
We turn to some innovations.
A new Graphite background has been added . Soft and very pleasant. Now it's nice to listen to music, but also to look at photos of your favorite artists.
The player now uses native shadows . No more torment with substrates and so on. This made it very easy to add support for Aero Snap to the application, beautiful minimization to the taskbar and much more.
Very much increased the speed of the application . Owners of netbooks and old computers are dedicated.
Reworked compact mode . Now there is a background picture of the artist, added volume control and track list.
The ability to assign hotkeys has been added . If you do not have multimedia keys on the keyboard, this option will be very useful. Supported song switching, stop and minimize / maximize the application.
Now you can listen to music from the news and from the wall of groups . It is very convenient when you are in a group where users constantly share good music.
A sidebar has been added . It displays information about the current artist, as well as genres and related artists. If there is no need, you can disable it in the settings.
A pop-up window that appears when switching tracks . Information about the song and the artist, all this on a nice background. Beautiful and comfortable.
Some actions have been added . Now you can put the current song in the status of VKontakte, simply by clicking on the horn icon. Previously, this feature was hidden in the settings, so not everyone knew about it. Unfortunately, the API has no support for new audio statuses. As they appear, we'll do it right away. Gift icon - send a song to your wall, leaf icon - an opportunity to see the lyrics.
Now you can edit information about your audio recordings and albums . Create albums, add and delete songs, edit song information.
Slightly reworked interface . Now it is cleaner, simpler and clearer. Some items are logically combined. Added icons for various actions.
All this + various minor fixes . This is what has been done in the last month. Active work continues on adding the necessary functionality + improving the work of the current one, as well as logic and user interaction.
