CyanogenMod developers create alternative to Android Market

One of the members of the CyanogenMod group is working on the creation of an alternative catalog of Android applications, where all the software that is prohibited for distribution through the regular Android Market will be placed. These can be custom firmware, classic game emulators, excluded due to copyright infringements, hacker programs that give root access with one click, as well as network utilities that are prohibited by mobile operators.

The creation of such a catalog was announced in early January. Now a developer named Kushik Duta (Koushik Dutta) reported on the work done: as you can see from the screenshot , he used Twitter Bootstrap templates.

Kushik Duta is known as one of the members of the CyanogenMod group and the author of ClockworkMod, a custom console for data recovery on an Android device.
