Forensic is an applied science about the disclosure of crimes related to computer information, about the study of digital evidence, methods of searching, obtaining and securing such evidence. Forensic is a subdivision of forensics.

The book talks about the methods of detection and investigation of computer crimes, the rules for collecting, securing and presenting evidence on them in relation to Russian legislation. The book also contains information relating to civil matters in which information technology is affected.

The book focuses on the practice: describes how to practically implement an event, gives examples of working with digital evidence from real criminal and civil cases.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get it in paper form (although I managed it :)). Having read it to the middle, I would like to express special thanks to Nikolai Nikolayevich Fedotov for his labors. This book is recommended to be read by all information security specialists (he thought a lot about placing this topic in Information Security), hackers and people who are simply interested in computer forensics from a practical point of view. There is plenty of food for any thinking mind.
