Anonymous hacked the site of the President of France

The Anonymous group continues to work to ensure that the offenders of the Megaupload project and its administration are punished. At least virtually, because it is in virtuality - the strength of this group. So, on Friday, an attack began on the site of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Usually, the attack was carried out using a banal DDoS, but this time they also applied hacking, with the placement of the slogan Anonymous "We Are Legion" on the main page of the site. It happened on Friday, and on Saturday the slogan has already disappeared from the main page of the site. But the site was under the DDoS attack, which led to its temporary unavailability or simply very slow work.

Earlier it was reported that the group promised to attack and hack the sites of countries that were in favor of closing the project (though they did not directly affect it) Megaupload. As you know, Sarkozy is one of the most prominent representatives of politicians - opponents of file sharing. It was he who initiated some laws adopted in France and directed against file sharing. Actually, the attack on the site Elysee.fr lasted two days, Friday and Saturday. Today, this site also opens with difficulty, but maybe the reason is the number of multimedia elements of the resource itself.

Sarkozy, after it became aware of the closure of Megaupload and the arrest of the project team, officially supported the actions of US law enforcement officers. The corresponding statement has already been published by the press service of the President of France. In France itself, the Hadopi law is relevant, according to which the most malicious copyright infringers can be fined 300 thousand euros and go to jail for three years.

Interestingly, now in France a bill has been proposed, which involves the introduction of a monthly fee for all web users without exception. In exchange, users get the opportunity to download any media files for free, including those protected by copyright. Actually, the idea is interesting - only it will be more difficult to implement it.
