Juvia: open source commenting system for your site

Many web developers are trying to simplify their lives and use various third-party services for "outsourcing" the database, commenting systems, storing avatars, chat, authentication systems, and so on. This is very convenient: for example, to add comments to the site, simply insert a JavaScript snippet. It's nice to know that new services are emerging in this area, better than the previous ones. It's about the Juvia commenting system .

Now the most popular third-party commenting systems are Disqus and IntenseDebate . However, both were developed in the early 2000s, when Ajax had not yet become the de facto standard. Therefore, when you try to integrate them on an Ajax site, problems may arise.

The new Juvia system is devoid of such a flaw. It is initially optimized for Ajax sites and will not conflict with other scripts. In addition, Juvia is an open source that you can put on your hosting and will no longer depend on Disqus.

Juvia's odd feature: the lack of support for tree comments, the developer says that the system is designed to be as simple as possible. There is support for moderation, manual or automatic via Akismet . There is support for multi-user administration, that is, you can assign moderators for individual sections. There are email notifications of new comments.

You can watch Juvia on the demo site (login / password: a@a.com/123456), comments are erased every 24 hours.
