Call for applications for LVEE winter 2012 is open
International conference of developers and users of free
Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe winter 2012 software
will be held from February 10 to February 12 near Minsk. The reception of reports and applications for
participation, sponsors are invited to cooperate.
Seven years in a row International gathering and conference of developers and
users of free software “Linux Vacation /
Eastern Europe ”(LVEE) gathers specialists in this field from
Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, EU countries, etc.
The conference brings together fellowship and leisure enthusiasts in the field of free
software and is by far the main event
in the public life of the Belarusian community of developers and
open source users.
This year, in addition to the now traditional version
the first Linux Vacation / Eastern Winter Session will be held at the conference
Europe - LVEE winter 2012. The event will be held February 10 - 12, 2012 at
surroundings of Minsk.

The purpose of the LVEE winter is the exchange of experience between specialists in
design, development, implementation, maintenance and development of solutions
Open Source, as well as IT business representatives interested in
the free software phenomenon, discussing the role of free technology in evolution
business solutions; corporate and government IT systems.
The official languages of the conference are Russian, Belarusian and English.
The format includes reports, short presentations, round tables, code sprint.
The range of topics of the conference is traditionally wide - from the story of the new free
technologies, software products, experience of their implementation and construction
open-technology businesses - before analyzing legal and
economic aspects of free licensing. Speakers as well
representatives of sponsoring companies and the press are exempt
registration fee.
To participate in LVEE winter 2012 is required to register on the site
conference lvee.org . Applications for participation are accepted until February 6.
Before inclusion in the program, theses of reports pass a stage of collective
reviewers, so speakers need to submit timely
required materials using the online editing system
abstracts on the conference website.
The Organizing Committee invites sponsors to participate. Currently about support
LVEE winter 2012 has already been announced by SaM Solutions, Promwad, EPAM Systems, World
Of Tanks team, Ciklum, resources hoster.by and it-job.by.
