The main gadget CES 2012 was found on the third day of the exhibition, on the outskirts of Las Vegas. Acer does not have a booth at CES, so I had to spend 30 minutes on the road before we saw it - the Acer Aspire S5.
The guys from Acer managed to do what few people get today - to cause emotions with their product. Not only did the engineers build in the laptop a mechanism (!) Through which ports “leave” the case; Not only is the S5 made in a luxurious coal-black color, it also became the thinnest ultrabook: its thickness is 15 mm. The device weighs 1.35 kg. ')
Another feature of S5 is Thunderbolt support. New from Acer was the first among all ultrabooks with the support of this technology. It is also reported that Acer S5 goes out of sleep mode for a half second and can be “awakened” from a smartphone synchronized in advance with a laptop, and immediately logged in to all social networks.
Acer S5 will be available approximately in April - right after the announcement of the Ivy Bridge processors, with which it will be delivered, complete with 8 GB of RAM and SSD-drive. Unfortunately, there is no more precise information about the configuration of iron.
