Sony Ericsson Xperia S and other new CES 2012

By tradition, the company decided to start the year with the announcement of the new flagship, which will set the tone for the entire line of smartphones in 2012 - Sony Ericsson Xperia S. Special models for the American and Japanese markets and an extended range of Smart Extras accessories were also presented.

In addition to technical innovations, the traditional strength of Sony Ericsson is design. The Xperia S visual style is the first incarnation of Sony's new design concept called Iconic Identity. This concept is based on the principles of conciseness and recognition, and will be used to create all models of the Xperia NXT series. A transparent plastic insert with the captions of the touch buttons located above it embedded visually highlights the screen and distinguishes the Xperia S from other phones. In addition, antenna parts and lighting elements are built into it, and the solution itself - transparent plastic - resembles Xperia Pureness, which was produced several years ago.
The overall appearance of the device is angular severity, underlined by the demonstrative symmetry of the arrangement of the functional elements on the back cover and the closed microUSB and HDMI connectors.
Dimensions of the new items have increased compared to the Xperia arc by a couple of millimeters - 128 x 64 x 10.6 mm, the Xperia S weighs 144 grams.
On board the Xperia S is now Android 2.3.7, but it will soon be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. World sales start on March 1.
