Google offers Indians free Wi-Fi to access their own services.

Google is known for its non-standard solutions to some issues, including the most serious problems. Now for the promotion of its services in India, the corporation offers residents of this country free Wi-Fi. However, so far free access can only be obtained by Google+, and another 10 minutes of free access to YouTube per week is added. In order to implement this intention, the Corporation of Good has signed a contract with the company O-Zone Networks, which will represent free Wi-Fi.

It should be noted that the Indians will also be able to get access to other sites, but on a paid basis. A pilot version of this project is being launched, which will work for three months. The company O-Zone Networks, according to its representatives, is going to offer a partner a long-term contract. But, of course, it is only after the project proves its viability.

Currently, the Internet penetration rate in India is only 10%, and thanks to a partnership project with O-Zone, Google hopes to increase this figure. O-Zone is now a niche provider, but things can change, because partners in mobile communications see a way to increase Internet penetration in India. About 40% of Google’s search operations are mobile in India. As for purchases on the Web, this figure is even higher - 67% of transactions on the Internet in India are carried out through the use of mobile devices.

The new initiative of Google and O-Zone can increase the penetration rate of the Internet in India, and, of course, the number of Google+ users. At the same time, the corporation could not have chosen a better country for promoting its services - as you know, there are a lot of Indians, so with free Wi-Fi you can expect a significant influx of new users.
