About the frequency of updating sites
I was always wondering why there are online sites of commercial companies that someone first created and then abandoned them. And the site with the “news” of one year old prescription hangs itself in runet, all of which is not updated and neglected.
Again, I am interested in the other side of the medal, how much the owner can update his site as much as possible and, most importantly, what the subject should be. I don’t know exactly what those who throw sites are guided by, but after we started selling diafan.CMS , we got information about those who update their sites frequently.
As you know, the availability of a license for diafan.CMS is checked on our server only when the user logs on to the administration of his site. Accordingly, over the past year we have gathered statistics on how many times the site has been updated during the year. We have more than 1000 licenses for various sites, so the selection of RuNet is not bad. Below I present the TOP sites by the number of updates for 2011.

Next come 75 sites with updates per year from 370 to 180 times, i.e. this once a day or two.
Then 110 sites are updated 180-90 times a year, i.e. two to three times a week.
Then 233 sites, which were updated 90-40 times a year, i.e. about once a week.
And the bulk of the sites - 452 pieces were updated no more than once a week, but more often than once in two months.
Well, the most rarely updated sites, of which 326, are updated several times a year and then, most likely in the first days at the initial filling after creation. :)
And on average, it turns out that users update their sites 49 times a year, or 4 times a month, i.e. about 1 time per week.

- The second place is the website of the private consultant Oriflame - 1195 updates for 2011. About three times a day.
- The third place in the Ukrainian online furniture store - 994 updates.
- In fourth place is another furniture store and also Ukrainian - 503 updates per year.
- The fifth place is taken by the tourist site - 467 entrances to the admin area.
- On the sixth line is the information site-encyclopedia. She has 456 updates in 2011.
- Seventh place in the online store of goods for household cosmetology. It has also been updated 456 times.
