Fans of this IDE probably noticed that the dates indicated in the roadmap on its official website netbeans.org somewhat diverged from reality. Personally, I was looking forward to December 14, and then every day I checked if anything had changed. And yesterday it took place - the new release is available to the general public.
The key innovations in NetBeans 7.1 are providing full development support using JavaFX 2.0, a significant expansion of Swing GUI Builder features, support for CSS3, new tools for visual debugging of the interface of applications based on Swing and JavaFX, integration of Git support. In addition, the new version adds tools for integration with Oracle WebLogic Server 12c. The NetBeans 7.1 interface is fully localized for Russian users.
Since I use NetBeans for web development, I’m interested in the following:
CSS3 support in the CSS editor, including support for auto-completion, syntax highlighting, and contextual documentation for new CSS3 elements;
Support for new properties specific to different browsers;
Improved debugger for the PHP language;
Support test groups based on PHPUnit;
Smarty template support;
Acceleration of download files with keep-alive support for SFTP and FTP clients;
Integration of tools for working with Git repositories;
Tab with the history of changes in the editor window;
Support for locking and unlocking files in the Subversion working directory;
