Linux 3.2 kernel out

Yesterday (January 4, 2012) Linus Torvalds announced the release of a new version of the kernel.

Significant changes:
  1. Ext4 adds support for selecting large blocks;
  2. In btrfs: increased cleaning speed, added ability to manually check metadata, more detailed error messages;
  3. Added process bandwidth controller;
  4. Added support for Hexagon processor architecture
  5. Integrated patches that allow the TCP protocol to more quickly adapt to the bandwidth of the transmission line;
  6. In writeback, automatic limiting of the data transfer rate from programs that generate large amounts of data has been added, which should have a positive effect on the responsiveness of the system.
