Today
, a new version of Yahoo Mail has been released, in which the “beta” sign has finally disappeared, the interface has been updated, and new features have appeared, including the possibility of sending free SMS messages that were previously unknown in free email services.
The button at the top of the page allows you to choose between sending an email, chatting by IM, or sending a free SMS message. The scheme of sending SMS is simple: you enter the contact name and phone number, and then send the message. This feature will be useful in those situations when you need to contact a person who is offline, but has a phone with you.

Also in the updated Yahoo Mail, there were quick keyboard shortcuts to quickly add an address to the contact list, view it on the map, add an event to the calendar, and search for various conditions.
Now you can send instant messages not only to Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger users, but also to Windows Live Messenger users.

Also, Yahoo Mail has improved the speed of work, improved search for messages and the ability to change the interface by selecting one of the six available colors.
Yahoo Mail Vice President John Kremer said that the new version of Yahoo Mail will be available worldwide in about a month and a half.
