Laziness is not always the “engine of progress”, most often it leads to regression, even if it is not even civilization as a whole, but an individual. It is especially difficult for some of us to overcome internal resistance, and to start playing sports (regularly). And not just a couple of times a week to sit down, but hard to work on yourself in the gym. Statistics on the "athletes" who quit practicing in the first couple of months is unknown, but obviously the lazy people are still the majority. And the stimulus “I pump up muscles and I will easily get acquainted” or “sport - health” does not work for everyone. But monetary incentive works for most of us. And the GymPact service uses this to motivate its users.
The principle is quite simple - you download the application (free) GymPact on a phone equipped with GPS, install the application and start going to the gym. GPS is needed in order for the application to "see" that you go to the gym, and not to the pub next to the house. On selected days, you need to go to the gym and work out for at least 30 minutes (the application will probably not be able to tell whether you are doing or just sitting in the changing room, but this is an extreme degree of laziness). If you went to the gym and were engaged, the application will credit the bonus in the form of a couple of dollars via PayPal at the end of the week.

What happens if you skip? It should be noted that any user of the system should regularly replenish their account in GymPact. If the user starts to skip, then GymPact withdraws money from the account (at least $ 5 per missed session) and transfers it to other users of the system, who are more industrious. The system itself takes about 3% of the input amounts. The rest is distributed among users according to the above scheme.
In general, the scheme is really effective as far as can be judged - a $ 5 fine for the missed day of classes can serve as an additional motivation not to miss classes. If a person went to the gym, then there is even a triple motivation: firstly, money is not lost, secondly, the pleasure of going to the gym itself, and thirdly, a small bonus at the end of each week. An interesting idea, how do you think? Maybe someone will take up the implementation of ideas for the realities of the CIS (webmoney, the ability to choose the currency, etc.)?
